The process of electro-galvanizing is completely similar to that of electro-tinning, going also the strip thought galvanizing cells with the only difference of the material forming the anodes, in this case mostly composed by zinc.
The material obtained is being used mainly in the automotive sector for pieces being part of the exterior of the cars or home appliances in general.
Nowadays, many of these lines, due to the operational costs and to their not great speed of process are being replaced by CGL's, in which it is possible to obtain similar product qualities to a much lower costs of production.
